The Challenge

Theme: Virtualization: How to make the world run online?

Our reliance on technology has drastically increased due to Covid-19; however,  more effort is needed to help schools and communities virtualize and create better online experiences. Let’s work together to provide better solutions for schools and communities. No previous experience or coding skill is required. 

Time: 10:00am - 12:00 pm, Sept. 5th, 2020 (PDT)

  Location:  Online via Zoom    

  • Sept 3rd 2020: Online registration deadline
  • Now-Sept 4th 2020: All teams work on their projects offline 
  • Sept 4th 2020 5pm PDT: Deadline to submit topic and corresponding material link to  Hack.a.Tech@GreenAppleUS.org 
  • Accepted material formats:

                 1st Place: $100

                2nd Place: $75

April Hackathon Challenge

The Theme: Self-Productivity and Improvement

Find a new way to increase overall productivity and self improvement. With the rise in popularity of entertainment platforms such as youtube, many people across the nation suffer from a lack of productivity due to the lowered attention span. There are also many areas of self improvement, as issues not only regarding mental unproductivity, but physical improvement as well can be tackled at this event . The Hackathon attendees should use technology to address this challenge. 


Examples include, but not limited to:

  •  Applications that track time.
  • Application that would increase physical activity or mental productivity
  • Tracking grades or help studying
  • Time management, Planning or Goal setting
